better together.

~ pictures taken with a fish-eye lens // goofy, right?! ~

last thursday, when spring started to make it's appearance in Georgia, ryan planned a little outing to a nearby park. he packed his backpack with a quilt, water bottle, and a frisbee and told me to grab some books and whatever else i need to help me to relax outdoors. and so we did. he also brought his golf club and chipped some golf balls in the grass, while i stretched out and re-read Fault in Our Stars and people watched. later Ryan laid aside his golf club and me, my book, so that he and i could throw around a Frisbee for a little bit. and as you can see, we had fun with my favorite fish-eye lens on my camera.

it was also fun to lay out together and look up into the sky (though it was very bright since silly me forgot her sunglasses) and have a moment to just be together. we are almost always together these days but there is something special about being intentional about being together, especially on a quilt outdoors on a gorgeous spring day. i only dreamed about moments like this when we were long-distance so i think i cherish them more than ever. *insert Jack Johnson's Better Together here*

wherever you are at, i hope you are able to enjoy some sunshine, stretch out on a quilt and read a good book. what do you like to do when spring makes its appearance?

much love.
{happy tuesday, friend.}

  4. What a gorgeous day! It looks like you had a wonderful outing :)

    I was in a long distance relationship with my beloved for almost a year (not that much time compared to most, but it felt like forever) and I definitely understand how wonderful it feels to go out and just spend the day with the person you finally get to spend the rest of your life with.

  6. Looks like a great day. My guy and I are about to do a little long distance for just a short time. 5 months - dreading it but once he comes back in a job he loves I know it'll be worth it.

  8. Awwww.......you made me feel like I was reading a paragraph of a love story :) Sooo cute! I need to try to have more intentional days with my hubby too, we get so busy and of course having 3 kids! It sometimes gets hard going on a date. Looove Jack Johnson! My hubby may have officially said "Angel" is about me ;)

  10. Picnics in the park are our favorite, too! There's this gorgeous park near our house, and we like to ride our bikes there with some food, a blanket, a baseball/gloves or tennis ball or frisbee and of course books and just enjoy the day. You're making me want to do just that! :)
