i woke up this morning and told Ryan that i felt like a Pokemon. yes, you know that popular Japanese anime with those Pokemon's that would explode once they were charged up with energy or whatever? i woke up feeling like i was full of creative energy - and i needed to express it somehow or i would explode...like a Pokemon. (i imagined myself as Pikachu - you know the yellow, cute one?) so after church and lunch, instead of a Sunday nap (which is my normal Sunday afternoon routine), i got into my comfy yoga pants and one of my favorite wraps and lounged on our living room floor, surrounding myself with smashbooks, instax pictures, origami hearts and all sorts of crazy cook odds and ends.
i also pulled out some red and white twine and strung up all the red hearts i had cut out of felt throughout this week. (are you like me? i like to keep my hands busy while watching tv. if it's not digging into a bowl of popcorn, i get these hands busy by cutting out felt red hearts or lately, folding origami hearts.) i used teeny-tiny clothes pins to hang the hearts onto the twine. the little garland of hearts adds a special touch around here just in time for the week of Valentine's Day!
then later in the afternoon, i was in the mood to draw in the new drawing pad that Ryan bought me last week. i have had the itch to draw lately, so it felt good to lay out on my stomach and just let my hands free. once i finish more smashbooks pages and more drawings, if i don't feel to shy about them, i'll share them here!
and let's hope some of this creative energy can carry over into tomorrow - so that i can finally list some new product colors in poppy garlands and big over-sized bow headbands in the shop, just in time for spring!

and oh! isn't my husband too cute? he photo-bombed this self-timer pic - and i'm so glad he did!
he makes me so happy and he tells me that i make him happy, too.
we make a good pair, dontcha think?
much love.
{happy monday, friend.}

I love the hearts strung along the windows, such a good v-day Idea!
