on one autumn day in georgia.

this past weekend in Georgia while visiting Ryan was the first weekend it genuinely felt like autumn. the morning air was chilly and crisp. the colors of the trees were changing from green to reds and oranges. pumpkins were making their appearances on every body's porches. and of course, nothing tops off the perfect autumn day without a stop at S-bucks for a pumpkin spice latte!

on my first morning of my visit with Ryan, he surprised me by driving me to an antique and and art festival (it was at Crossroads at Crabapple for those in the area). it is supposed to be the biggest one in that area that takes place once a year since 1969. the number of vendors there and their collection of antiques and arts were mesmerizing! if we had a house, i'm sure we would have gone home with more than a few antiques - but we still had a good time browsing and talking with the vendors and artists. plus there were so many people around, it was just a fun place to be at on a cool Saturday morning.

and while at the festival, we talked with some super cool people who rescue animals, mainly horses. these horses they showcased suffered from dwarfism - and we were told that many horses born this way are immediately killed. the breeder often does not want people to know that their horses bred dwarfed horses and stay hush-hush about it. totally broke my heart but made me so happy to see that these horses were rescued and being cared for by these loving volunteers! we were even introduced to a little piglet that was found in  poor health and dry skin and rescued! as you can tell Ryan was making friends with that cute little guy.

the whole day was absolutely perfect - the company, the weather, the festival, everything! and that wasn't it for Saturday - we made a trip to a nearby mall to do a little shopping (got my hands - or lips! - on NARS' heatwave semi-matte lipstick...i've been wanting it for forever and it is the perfect shade of a red-orange lipstick) and enjoyed some fast food chinese food (Panda Express is my fave and Ryan makes sure i get my chow mein and orange chicken fill every time i visit since there isn't one near me.)

Ryan always knows how to plan the best time together! being long-distance certainly makes you savor every single second you share, and i can say we never waste any second of it - whether it's being lazy and watching a movie or running around town to different festivals or restaurants!  the whole weekend was an absolute blast and no matter how long are my visits, i'm always wishing for one more day.

much love.
{happy wednesday, friend.}

p.s. my sunglasses are from my friends at the Sunglasses Shop! are they not so much fun?! i love the over-sized frames and love the comfortable, quality feel. and not gonna lie, i totally feel like a celebrity in them. you know the kind you would wear to hide your identity and feel like hollywood glam! grab your own pair here or browse their incredible collection of sunglasses of all brands and styles!

  4. I definitely agree. Being that it's almost been a year that I've been with my boyfriend and only getting to see him twice, I treasured every moment that I can possibly get with him.
