a sad attempt but an attempt, at least.

so i have been wanting to do one of those photography projects where you take a photo every hour for an entire day - and well, i attempted to do it today, but don't think i quite succeeded. first, i think you are supposed to do it all day up until i go to bed tonight but i already failed in taking pictures of every hour...so i guess this is just a sneak peek into a bit of my day.

it really wasn't the most exciting of days either, but oh, well. it was a good day overall, so i can't complain. you gotta enjoy the little things - even days that are chill in comparison to most.

9:00 a.m.

i had a slower start to the morning, so it was ultra nice to be able to hear my alarm go off at 8:00 and then hit the snooze button for more than couple of times. it didn't take me an hour to brush my teeth, but it is a photo an hour, right? however, what you don't see in the pictures is that i go make my coffee and drink it while waking up to The Today Show. i grew up watching Matt Lauer and Katie Couric - so when i moved back home here to SC, The Today Show continued to be a morning routine.

10:00 a.m.

part of my morning involves breakfast (duh). i guess more like brunch today. and normally, Mom loves cooking a huge breakfast (we are talking bacon, eggs, sausage, tall glasses of milk and OJ - and garlic fried rice, it's a Filipino thing). but today, (call me crazy) i was in the mood for a buttery bagel and my coffee. getting ready for the day also includes my quiet time (Bible-reading and journaling) - i can't get through my day without that time. and then of course, got dressed - and like i said, it was a slower morning so i took time to experiment the cat eye-look. i think i need more practice but i like it!

12:00 p.m.

okay, i promise that i am NOT this nit-picky of an eater! if you know me at all, i love BIG meals - and if i don't get a big meal (like today) i end up snacking all day long...which ended up being the case. however, this is one of my favorite salads to eat - romaine lettuce drizzles with olive oil, salt, pepper and parmesean cheese! makes my mouth watering thinking about it now. and to make up for a smaller meal, i made sure to fill my tummy up with a couple of red velvet cupcakes Mom whipped up. see? it's all good.

1:00 p.m.

the afternoon was filled with filling orders and answering emails while i watched an all-time favorite, You've Got Mail.once i finished my couple of hours with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks, i spent some time with Stefan, Damon, and Elaina. eeek! just started Season 3 - and oh, my goodness! it's so crazy good, i cannot stand it. did you hear me?! can.not.stand.it.

4:00 p.m.

i got this darling beaded headband from my friends at Lilla Rose - isn't it so simple, yet elegant?! it is the perfect touch to any messy bun. it's also surprisingly comfortable since the beads are attached to a stretchy, comfortable headband. i can easily see how this headband will make it into my autumn and holiday wardrobe this season! love!

and that's it...

and since are being honest here....once dinner time rolled around, i forgot about the camera and the project - plus it was gloomy for most of the day, so the hope for natural lighting to stream through the windows wasn't happening. *shrugs shoulders*

but like i said, i was (and am) thankful for even an uneventful day to be able to catch up on everything - like orders, emails, and The Vampire Diaries.

and sometimes you just need a day like that.

much love.
{happy wednesday, friend.}

  5. I wanted to take pictures like this but I can't on the days that I work (I'm pretty sure it would annoy my coworkers) and days that I don't work life is pretty boring.

  10. So, I kind of love that you forgot/lost interest. I'm always meaning to do one of those photo-a-day Instagram challenges, but I just know I'd make it 4 or 5 days and then just keep on doin' my own thing. :)
