claudia kishi would be proud.

Freejac Zigzag dress: c/o Shop Kempt / cardi: base exchange / belt: c/o E L Vintage / scout green tights: c/o We Love Colors / hanaki boots: c/o Blowfish Shoes / ring: Le Mode Accessories / red braided bracelet: Reverie Market

so whenever i wear bright colors or any sort of crazy pattern, i am reminded of my first fashion icon: the one and only Claudia Kishi, VP of The Babysitter's Clubmy childhood bestie and i used to be obsessed with the series and even started tried to start up an art club inspired by Claudia and her club members.

i also often did the whole side pony-tail, hot pink tights, neon sneakers, or anything considered out of the ordinary to channel my inner Claudia. oh and miss kishi and i totally had a connection - she was Asian and had mad love for junk food (i never had to hide the food though - always ate my junk food out in the open - loud and proud!). so all that to say, we were pretty much twins.

and psst! since the post office is closed today in thanks to Mr. Christopher Columbus, use coupon code COLUMBUSFREE for FREE SHIPPING (valid for Oct. 9-10 only!!) over at my shop

much love.
[happy monday, friend.]

p.s. just a couple more days left to enter the La Luce Design giveaway!

  7. OMFG I adore that you just mentioned Claudia and the BSC. I used to LOVE those books and my friends and I tried to start our own club too =-) I was more of a Kristy or Maryanne girl myself, hehe. Kind of the shy, bookworm but tomboy type.

  16. I think I read absolutely every single one of those books when I was little. And I had a tote bag full of the same kinds of stuff that I would take along babysitting. Ah, good times.

  23. Yay for Claudia!! She was by far the best BSC member. For years I proudly wore mismatched, layered scrunch socks as a direct result of her influence. I can definitely see you as a grown up, sophisticated Claudia. :)

PS - My friends and I also tried to start a Babysitter's Club, but the farthest we got was designing Kid-Kits. We were probably 8 or 9 at the time, so I seriously doubt that anyone would ever leave their children with us.
