when i grow up, i want to be interviewed by Matt Lauer.

books constantly remind me of my longest running dream.
no, not the ones that form thought bubbles above your head when you sleep.
i'm talking about life goals, ambitions, hopes and...dreams.

for as long as i can remember, i've wanted to write a book, published and make a million dollars off of it. ha! totally joking about the last part, but i would have to admit that part of the dream is that people would love my stories so much that they all buy my book to read and discuss and critique and be talking it up on all the blogs, make appearances on the Today show and hit up NY Times bestseller lists. a girl can dream, can't she?

with all the reading, i've been doing this summer, i've wondered why i haven't already started writing my novel that i've dreamed about writing. ideas come and go, but i haven't really sat down and written fiction in a very long time - and i've felt that craving to do so. i honestly feel almost silly writing this out. i don't think i've ever really shared that part of me on the blog before. i feel like i'm a girl with so many crazy dreams but this is seriously one of my biggest, more personal ones.

what's your biggest dream?
if you dare to share.

hope you have a fantastic weekend!
see you all monday.

much love.
[happy friday, friend.]

  17. I love this outfit a lot. I remember wanting to write a novel. I think it was because I was so caught up about writing on my Xanga (back in my middle school years) on my life and mishaps that I just wanted to write a book starring myself.

Sometimes I write mini stories from time to time on my "thinking" blog. I think you should do it! I'd totally read your novel!

  33. Annie @ Wattlebird has the right idea! I did National Novel Writing Month (http://www.nanowrimo.org/) almost two years ago, and ended the month with a written novel. I'm on the fourth (or fifth, depending on how you look at it :)) draft now, and it's still a super fun project.

It's going to take a lot more work, both on the novel and getting more short stories published to get my name out there. But if you love writing (like you do), it's all really, really fun.

    Best!
