grab your partner, then lift them skirts and do-si-do!!!

courtesy of eshakti / necklace: allorahandmade / knee-highs: chinese laundry / shoes: guess

people, it's nearly spring here in the south. the sun has been out lots, and we've already peeled off our winter coats and kicked our boots off to the side. we still have occasional bouts of chilly breezes but i feel that spring is truly coming.

sooo i wore this outfit on sunday - and i know, black is not the most popular spring color but the hem of it was too fun not to wear it (as you see me continually pulling it up, down and to the side - swish! swish!), plus it's a dress you don't really want to wear under a winter coat. but hey, i think the knee-highs and the jessica's necklace definitely springs it up, wouldn't you say?

 Sweet Shot Day

speaking of spring, i'm still keeping busy with poppies galour. i had a bit of a panic moment over the weekend - you know when you get a little overwhelmed? no, you've never been there? i'm alone in this? great. *wink* but then i ended up getting lots done on saturday, poured my stress out to Ryan on the phone (who then was a HUGE encouragement to me), so then on sunday i was able to relax and recharge. it was super good for me. thank you, God, for Ryan and for Sundays.

and how was your weekend?
are you able to celebrate spring yet wherever you are at?

to be honest, it's even weird to write a more upbeat post like this - about sunshine, an outfit post and spring when on the other side of the globe, it's a whole other world. i can't even watch the news anymore - but when i do, my heart wrenches every time they play the clips of the water, the buildings, the people. may we not forget to continue to pray and support Japan in this time of tragedy.

much love.
[happy tuesday, friend.]

p.s. are you in love with prints, photography and vintage cameras?

  21. Well it's finally warmed up a little bit and the snow has been melting, slowly but surely. Saturday was absolutely gorgeous, the sun was shining brighter than ever and I took a walk spent some time just sitting outside reading. :)

My heart breaks for the people of Japan. :'( I wish there was something I could do to help them.
