family field trip to the Georgia Aquarium!!

i have always been interested in ocean life. there was even a time in my life (a very short time in my life) that i thought about becoming a marine biologist when i grew up (then i found out that science involved a lot of numbers and i ditched the idea). so when daddy said he bought tickets for us to visit the Georgia Aquarium while we were in Atlanta, you bet i was excited!

 Sweet Shot Day

um, the last photo is probably my fave. dad was trying to take it as a huge shark was swimming by - but it had already passed. i just love ashley's facial expression. be glad i didn't post the other millions of pictures that i took. there was just so much to capture. uuuuh-mazing.

and oh, it was a good time! lots of goofiness as usual - but of course, lots of amazement in seeing all those incredible sea creatures. i'm always amazed a creativity in general - but when i look at God's creation, i am blown away at His ultimate creativity. so many colors, families, and kinds. it. blows. my. mind.
any other ocean lovers out there?

much love.
[happy tuesday, friend.]

  32. My hubby is obsessed with ocean life. We have to watch Shark Week and anything on Discovery HD that has to do with underwater creatures.

We have been to the Vancouver Aquarium and for his birthday last year, we went to Monterey Bay Aquarium.

  36. I'm a huge fan of sea creatures as well! I used to snorkel and dive to see the wonders of the ocean, but of course, you can also experience what's happening under the water by visiting the aquariums. Apparently, the Georgia Aquarium is the largest in the world. I should pay this place a visit! Marine life is such a beautiful and amazing sight. It's one of nature's most fascinating gift to mankind!
