like an elf in santa's workshop.
i have totally enjoyed having my shop open during the holiday season. i've never experienced this rush since last year at this time, i was just a little, brand new shop last year, so it's been fun - kinda crazy - but fun sewing every day and packaging in lots of red and green packaging and christmas-themed happy tape. (i kinda go nutty over happy tape.)
but like an elf that loves the holiday season, my family and i have been soaking it up. blasting lots of christmas music, turning on the christmas tree the minute one of us gets up, drinking lots of hot chocolate with whip cream and red sprinkles, mailing out christmas cards, and watching all the christmas movie faves (watched elf yesterday - never gets old!). we are also very much looking forward to Kristine and Ryan arriving! (And yes, my sister's husband is never Ryan, too - hehe...that's why we call them The Ryans).
teal 3/4 sleeve tee: kristin davis
gray skirt: forever21
belt: forever21
tights: hue
black ruffle heels: maddie girl
and like an elf, i love my colored tights! (that's not brand news to people that know me.) so i pranced around with these bright (and i mean bright) yellow tights. i wish i had a mustard pair but i can't find any - but i'm still loving these. they are different which i think makes them more fun.
it was actually rather cold when we ran out to take these outfit posts, so the length of time that we take to take pictures are getting shorter and shorter. it's always interesting to see what pictures come out or not.
(when i'm in GA or when we were back in Chicago, Ryan took all my pictures there too! and he's pretty darn good himself! i've been blessed with two uuuuh-mazing people willing to put up with my crazy addiction of photos.)
i had some time to update the shop with some new designs that had been floating around in my mind the past few weeks! excited about these silk poppies. i made a handful of them earlier this year - but i didn't have these color options until now. you might find one for yourself or maybe for someone's stocking!

so are you an elf,
keeping busy during the holiday season?
what's keeping you busy, friend?
stay warm wherever you are. even us here in SC are experiencing the cold-front.
it's so weird to be buddling up with scarves and gloves and coats.
i'm just thankful that we are not dealing with the snow and the wind.
that is def. one part of Chicago that i'm not missing.
[happy thursday, friend.]

can we please become roommates so we can share closets....or more accurately, i can borrow all your adorable clothes? thanks!
