chocolate tree: prep yourself for chocolate overload.

chocolates or flowers?

i would probably have to tell ryan flowers, but if i could have both, i'd say YES to both, too! especially if they came from this incredible shop, the chocolate tree. ashley and i stopped by to pick up stick for my cake pops i plan to make this week.

as soon as the rich chocolate aroma hit my senses, a flood of memories did the same. i actually stopped by the chocolate tree many times as a little girl. mom drove me and kristine there once for a field trip (we got the grand tour and everything!) and then to pick up supplies to make chocolate on sticks for holidays. we'd buy the plastic molds (seashells, dolls, fun shapes, etc.), sticks, and the chocolate wafers to melt.

Sweet Shot Day
can you tell which one was my favorite piece of chocolate? yup, the one i took three pictures of: blueberry pomegrante creme. i only bought one of them; should have bought two like ashley. but i also got to try a salted caramel, which was pretty darn good. i also got daddy a chocolate covered peanut butter orea. mom doesn't really like chocolate - only chocolate kisses, but only during the  christmas season (don't ask me why).

like i said, it's been forever since i visited the chocolate tree. but don't worry, especially with it being the holiday season, i'm sure i'll be going to visit it again very soon!

are you a chocolate lover, friend?
if so, what is your fave?
or are you blessed and not have to worry about instant cocoa cravings like the rest of us?

 much love.
[happy tuesday, friend!]

  4. I love, love, love The Chocolate Tree. I took their chocolate making class years ago. They teach you how to make all sorts of goodies in a matter of hours, plus you get to eat what is made. The fee was minimal and worth every penny.

  23. I love the look of chocolate, but whenever I have it, I don't like it - much. I'm thinking I need to try specialty chocolate - i.e. chocolate that isn't sold at supermarket checkout lines! :P

  24. Chocolate lover, indeed! How could I have just one favorite chocolate? I love it all! Although I'm terribly addicted to the salted caramel hot chocolate at Starbucks. Yes, I even take my chocolate in liquid form.
