oops, i did it again! yes, more cupcake love.

i had another craving.

if you've followed this blog for long enough, you know evidently that is not a rare occasion.
i love food - and if i crave something, i gotta go get it or make it.

one of the many things i miss from chicago were the cupcake shops. so since i've moved from chicago, anytime i've been homesick for molly's or sprinkles, i've made my own run to the grocery store and made them myself. and i'm not some snazzy baker. i'm good ole fashioned cake in a box kind of a girl. (i can get ambitious when it comes to banana bread or pumpkin pies. maybe i'll do cupcakes from scratch. one day.) this past week, my sister and daddy were wondering when i would be baking again soon (remember the red velvet cupcakes last month? mmm, baby.) so of course, decided to roll up those sleeves and bake away.

once again, beyond satisfying.

oh and one of my fave pictures in this set is photo #2, where you can see mine and ashley's reflection in the curve of the bowl. do you see it? makes me smile.

prior to baking the strawberry cupcakes with strawberry frosting, i really wanted to attempt the cake pops that i've seen all over blog world. i know that bakerella has a great receipe for them - but i also read other blogs highlightning the apparently addicting delight! i hope to attempt that one next time. i'm sure a blog post will follow!

and oh, can you believe tomorrow is friday?
where did the week go?

i am currently busy catching up with orders as well as emails. it's a busy time of the year, i'm told - and gets even busier come holiday season. this will be my first time with my shop during the holiday season so i'm excited and nervous! what if it's so overwhelming i can't meet demand? or what if no one orders anything and i'm under budget and i can't even buy christmas presents this year? that'd be tragic. okay, not tragic...but admittingly sad, right?

and don't forget to come back tomorrow for the spectacular GIVEAWAY. it's my first one to do on this blog, folks - so i think it'll be a blast and a half! and so many new readers this week - super stoked! thanks for joining us, friends.

so do you have a favorite cupcake? particular flavor? frosting? is there only one place you like to go
that has ruined all other cupcake shops?

much love, friend.
[happy thursday!]

  13. These look soo tasty! But here's some advice: making cupcakes from scratch is easy! And they tasttttte way better, plus you know what your putting in it, instead of all those horrible chemicals! But I do have to say, out of the box, is just as tempting!

  18. Ok, this might be a little terrible, but I mostly just like looking at cupcakes. Eating them is sorta "meh" for me. Also, I don't really know what "red velvet" is, but I think that's a cake term too. I could never join a cupcake gang.

Give me a chocolate truffle anyday.
